CIS/PDM for PADS Logic

New CIS/PDM software available for PADS Logic

Recently a new easy to use CIS/PDM software package to complement PADS Logic and PADS Layout was released.

The software is launched under the name ECAD-2-PDM and consists of two modules: LogicCIS and LogicVariants. The modules perfectly integrate into the PADS Logic environment and gives the user an intuitive tool for component creation, search and maintaining the component library in a way similar to the DxDataBook integration into DxDesigner. This new module will create a link between PADS Logic and your company database. The software is developed in Microsoft Access and is very easy to use and configure. All you need is the 2010 Microsoft Access Runtime as a base for the application.

LogicCIS is the foundation of the software allowing you to search for components and manage the integration to PDM and offer you the following features:

LogicCIS allows you to quickly build Schematic parts from your PDM part numbers.
LogicCIS lets you parametrically search for components by any part of their properties.
You can verify the schematic parts to match company approved parts.
You have the ability to update a legacy schematic with parts that are currently approved in your PDM database.
You can push an email request for a new part directly to your company librarian.
With LogicCIS comes and integrated BOM and Parts List Processor – LogicBOM – a template driven feature that gives you fully customized parts listing and click button Variant and Master BOM generation.

LogicVariants

You can easily handle designs with mis-fit components, (variants).
You have the ability to manages multiple variants from a single base schematic.
You can control no-fits without manual editing.
You can view multiple variants on the schematic with corresponding sheet border and variant cloning.
